Dr Feist, founder of the Passivhaus Institute in Darmstadt, talked about the Low Energy MZ House (Calderon-Folch-Sarsanedas, 2012) in the International Passive House Conference in Leipzig in April 2015.
He said: ‘”überraschend sehr guten Ergebnissen für das Sommerklima”; ‘surprisingly very good results for the summer climate’
“El Roure” Community Centre and “La Ginesta” Library nominated to the EUROPEAN UNION PRIZE FOR CONTEMPORARY ARCHITECTURE- MIES VAN DER ROHE AWARD 2015. Mies Van der Rohe Foundation.
Initiated in 1987 after an agreement between the European Commission and the Barcelona City Hall, the 60.000€ prize is the highest award in European architecture and is awarded biennially to works completed within the previous two years. The principal objectives are to recognise and commend excellence in the field of architecture and to draw attention to the important contribution of European professionals in the development of new ideas and technologies and of the clients who support them.

International Spanish Architects Awards 2013-Young Architect Abroad
Pilar Calderon and Marc Folch awarded with the ” International Spanish Architecture-Young Architect Abroad” for the Centre Léonce Georges, by the Spanish Architects Association, delivered by HRH the Prince of Asturias in the Spanish Senate.

National Energy Efficiency Isover Award
Calderon-Folch-Sarsanedas awarded for the Low Energy MZ House in the IV edition of the Isover Award. Award’s link
El jurado de la IV edición de los Premios Eficiencia Energética Isover decidió, por unanimidad otorgar el primer premio, dotado con 12.000 euros, al proyecto titulado “Casa Eficiente MZ “, del estudio de arquitectura Calderon Folch Sarsanedas Arquitectes slp, situado en Barcelona.
Con respecto a la propuesta ganadora, Casa Eficiente MZ, el acta del jurado hace referencia a su implantación urbana y destaca la condición de vivienda entre medianeras que, sin duda, reporta un plus de dificultad para las soluciones sostenibles (imposibilidad de elegir orientación óptima, localización parcial en zonas de sombra, dificultad de acceso de los equipos a las zonas de trabajo, etc.), y desea enfatizar su carácter ejemplar y pedagógico, además de sus características intrínsecas ya valoradas.

AJAC Award for Young Architects by the Catalan Architects Association
Pilar Calderon and Marc Folch awarded with the IV AJAC for the work “Caldereria petita” by the Catalan Architects Association.
The Jury, composed by Dolores Palacios, Nathalie de Vries and Felix Wettsteing, appreciate “the particular attention to the formal richness of its façade, intelligently enhaced by the use of light and colour.”
